I’m Indy a peachy brindle Labrador retriever grey hound mix. I’m kinda shy, but I quickly warm up to people if given a chance. I’ve had a rough 2 years of life, but thanks to Pamlico’s NLOL program I know what's expected. I've had my crate training, leash and some agility and obedience. I don't mind crates because I’ve discover that’s where food will be waiting for me. I’m especially fond of my peanut butter bones. I also get along well with other dogs, but cats are still a mystery to me. Perhaps you don’t have any cats and would like to be my jogging partner? I will need a job and humans to help me figure out what that job will be.
I'm available for adoption immediately.
All New Leash on Life dogs are fully vetted, altered, heartworm tested, and micro chipped. About the NEW LEASH ON LIFE dog-training program: Pamlico's New Leash on Life program has graduated and found homes for 175 dogs as of April 2017. NLOL benefits the inmates as well as the dogs. The inmate trainers learn patience, responsibility and a feeling of accomplishment while becoming experienced dog trainers. The rescued dogs are microchipped, vetted, vaccinated, and altered, as well as house, crate and leash trained. They receive training in basic obedience, and sometimes advanced obedience along with agility and rally training. These well-behaved companions graduate every eight weeks ready to join new, forever families. Adopting families will be able to attend their dog's graduation .
